The Story of Nuh (Noah) AS

Assalamu 'Alaikum dear brothers and sisters,

I would like to share with you the story of Prophet Nuh (Noah), one of the most important Prophets in Islamic history. His life is an example of perseverance, patience, and faith in Allah (SWT).

Prophet Nuh was sent as a Prophet to his people in a time when they were living in a state of ignorance and disobedience. He was born after Adam and lived for more than nine hundred years. He spent most of his life calling his people to worship Allah (SWT) and to turn away from their evil deeds.

Nuh was known for his steadfastness in the face of adversity. He endured years of ridicule and rejection from his people who refused to accept his message of monotheism. Despite this, he continued to preach and spread the word of Allah (SWT) to those who would listen.

The Quran describes Nuh's people as being particularly stubborn and set in their ways. They were steeped in idol worship and refused to believe in Allah (SWT). Nuh pleaded with them, urging them to turn away from their false gods and to seek forgiveness from Allah (SWT). But his pleas fell on deaf ears.

As the years went by, Nuh's people continued to reject his message. In desperation, he turned to Allah (SWT) for guidance and help. In response, Allah (SWT) commanded Nuh to build an ark, a great ship that would protect him and his followers from the coming flood.

Nuh obeyed Allah's (SWT) command and began building the ark. His people mocked him, calling him crazy and a liar. But Nuh remained steadfast in his faith and continued to work on the ark, hoping that his people would see the truth before it was too late.

When the ark was complete, Nuh invited his people to board the ship with him. But they laughed at him and refused to believe that a great flood was coming. Nuh pleaded with them one last time, warning them of the impending disaster, but they refused to listen.

As the skies darkened and the waters began to rise, Nuh and his followers boarded the ark. The flood waters rose higher and higher until they covered the earth. The people who had mocked Nuh and refused to believe in Allah (SWT) were drowned in the flood. Only Nuh and his followers were saved, along with a pair of every living creature on earth.

The flood lasted for many days, and the ark was tossed and turned by the raging waters. But Nuh and his followers remained steadfast in their faith and trusted in Allah (SWT) to guide them to safety.

Finally, after the flood waters receded, the ark came to rest on Mount Judi. After Nuh and his followers disembarked from the ark, they began to rebuild their lives. They started to cultivate the land and to spread the message of Allah (SWT) to those who were willing to listen. However, despite their efforts, some of Nuh's followers began to deviate from the teachings of Islam.

One of Nuh's sons, who had not believed in Allah (SWT) and had refused to board the ark, was among those who had gone astray. Nuh pleaded with his son to return to the right path, but he refused. Allah (SWT) then revealed to Nuh that his son was not among his true followers and was destined to be drowned.

Despite his grief, Nuh remained faithful to Allah (SWT) and continued to spread the message of Islam. He lived for many years after the flood and was respected by his followers as a wise and compassionate leader. He died at a very old age, having spent his life in service to Allah (SWT) and his people.

In conclusion, the story of Prophet Nuh is a testament to the power of faith and perseverance. Despite years of rejection and ridicule, Nuh remained steadfast in his belief in Allah (SWT) and continued to spread the message of monotheism. When Allah (SWT) commanded him to build an ark, Nuh obeyed without question, trusting in Allah's (SWT) plan for him and his followers. In the end, Nuh and his followers were saved from the flood, while his people perished for their disbelief. May we all learn from Nuh's example and remain steadfast in our faith in Allah (SWT).
